• Re: Roxy Music - Newcastle, 1975

I'd like to also add that is amazing how quiet the audience is during the middle 'moody' section of If There Is Something. Absolute silence from the crowd (other than the band). Really cool. (Is this the rendition that is on the live Viva! album? Haven't heard that record in a long time.)

  • Roxy Music - Newcastle, 1975

Thanks so much for this concert! Full shows rock! But just letting you know, the song Mother of Pearl actually starts at the 5:19 min. part of Beauty Queen in the stream. (no big deal really). And I don't know if i would refer to King Crimson as ''the King Crimson''. That's kind of like saying 'The Jethro Tull'. But Wolfgang's Vault is ...

  • Re: Mahavishnu Orchestra

I'd just like to say that I'd love to hear some actual concerts from the later Armstrong/Walden line-up. Haven't heard any live material from this version of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. I hope these will be posted eventually. (???) Narada's drumming on Jeff Beck's ''Led Boots'' and Holdsworth's 'Velvet Darkness', etc. etc., is truly ...

  • Wolfgang's weirdness: Pink Floyd- Oakland Coliseum, May 9, 1977

OK, first the obvious: David's last name is spelled ''Gilmour'' not ''Gilmore''. That is obviously Roger Waters who makes the intro before ''Us and Them''. In the post-Barrett Floyd, Roger was the band spokesman and de facto 'leader' (until his departure, of course.) ------ Here's where things get strange: this recording is obviously an ...

  • Re: Shrine 24 jan 75 stream :)

I agree with what live_historian has said, but perhaps this Shrine concert is the only live multi-track recording of The Lamb, as stated in the liners to Genesis Archive 1(?). The BBC Wembley recording might have been recorded/mixed directly in stereo (2-track) for airplay over the radio. I might be wrong about this of course! Either way this is ...
