Zappa's here, listed as Mothers of Invention - was his band's name.
-
You WILL find Zappa here. It's under Mothers of Invention - the name of his band. Check it out.

Thank you WV for returning Quicksilver 11/68!!!

I'll
never forget seeing Zappa at the Fillmore. He stood on stage the entire time
for both sets with his back to the audience - DIDN'T TURN AROUND EVEN
ONCE. I thought it was hilarious - Zappa's artistic flip-off to the
world. The man was a true original - loved him for his stand-up
integrity - yes, pun intended.

Yeah, saw that WV just put back the 11/05/66 set. I agree with you regarding the removed, 11/68 show. Incidently, the ''Mona'', Maiden of the Cancer Moon'', Calvary'' portion of that VERY show is heard on their live Happy Trails album. However, it sounds stronger, more live, crisper on WV, than the ''airbrushed'', more sanitized ...

Would appreciate hearing back from MrPaulCaruso regarding my 1/21/07 wail for more Quicksilver Messenger Service.

I truly love what you're doing - some awesome stuff!!! - but you've been giving Quicksilver Messenger Service a bit of short shrift. I was at many of those Fillmore and Avalon (Family Dog) concerts from '66 and on, and QMS was regarded as more musically advanced and talented than the Airplane and at LEAST (or more) innovative than the Dead by the ...

The 11/68 QMS show WAS out of the vault and highly rated, but for reason removed.
-
Yes, please bring back Quicksilver 11/68, or, some additional Quicksilver with decent quality audio, if such exists.
-
Agreed, Zappa was great. Quicksilver was incredible in person - in the day - better live than their first two albums. Never properly recorded - or toured enough to be known. One of the most under appreciated, under rated bands of all time.Check out Gary Duncan's singing on ''Smokestack Lightning'' Quicksilver Messenger Service WV 12/31/67. ...

I greatly appreciate what you're doing, Bill Sagan? - I presume. I lived in SF (still do) and attended most of the local BG and Avalon, Family Dog shows, starting in '66 when I was age14. Quicksilver Messenger Service was my favorite band. When Jim Murray left in October of '67 and it was the four musicians, they were at their best. They had more ...

When Jim Murray left in October of '67 and it was just the four they were at their best. Their finest playing was from 10/67 to 6/68. At their peak they were absolutely PHENOMENAL, in the1st tier of bands worldwide. They recorded their first album in the fall of '67. When it was released in May of '68 they started sounding stale and losing the ...
