Bass & Drums are always the forgotten parts of great groups.

I sometimes wonder if Cream actually existed, reading various Internet Forums. Certainly in the Sixties, they were RED HOT, I was there. Major mistakes were made in presenting the group (lack of video, direction,  concert venues missed) .  Hendrix formed a similar trio, Zeppelin avoided the mistakes. I doubt they could have lasted longer,

In my view Zeppelin captured what went on before and created something new. And they lasted a few years !

Hendrix had to come to England to be 'discovered', and then re-exported back to the US. The Experience were modelled on Cream, this was the perfect launch pad for Jimi 's talents . I always found it interesting that band tensions arose in the Band of Gypsies with more competing ego's.
