I remember that show, In Concert. For now, you might be able to find some on YouTube. I know there's some footage from the other t.v. program from the same era, Don Kirschner's Rock Concert. That used to play here on the east coast, I'm in Jersey. It's worth a shot until the lovely folks here at Wolfgang's begin with the video.
I just ...

Hmm...Joaquin Phoenix might not be half-bad. I was thinking maybe Val Kilmer, but like you said, it would have to be someone with that NY attitude. And, Val's too California, anyway. Too bad Jerry Orbach died, he would've been good, at least for the look.
At any rate, I think this is a project that someone should ...

Heh....I've heard the lore of the headband many times. I've heard he used anywhere from 3 to 6 doses of LSD, that used to drip into his eyes. I don't know if any of it is true. Doesn't really matter at this point, but I think it's a cool legend.
And, if it is true, I wouldn't recommend trying it. The LSD back then is a lot different than it is ...

Hey, I agree, I love the mis-cues, wrong notes/keys, I was just saying it's mostly just blues type stuff. If I can get in touch with that guy again, I'll do my best to get a copy and get it to you. He also has some studio tapes & out-takes. Man, I wish I had the presence of mind to copy them when I heard them. We were in a ''Hendrix'' ...

Nice, Mr. Roboto with the proof! Ha ha ha ha, why so many people ''fret'' over this, I don't know. Just looking at the guitar, everything's upside down (for right-handers) Head-stock, pick guard, wammy bar, control knobs, even the cord jack. I guess you have to know a guitar well to see the differences.
I forgot who mentioned it, but good call ...

Hey Joe,
I read it in the recent Rolling Stone (w/Snoop on the cover) and where I found out about this site. It was all in the article, mentioning how some musicians are debating taking action against their music being heard for free. God forbid!
I was most disappointed in Weir, as The Dead were notoriously known for letting tapers into

There wasn't all that much left out from, Band of Gypsies. I've heard the complete show from a collector friend, and it's good, yeah, but, nothing to lose sleep over. To be clear, I say that being a huge Hendrix fan.

IRIE whole-heartedly agree!

That's a good question, who ''could'' play Bill. It would have to be someone who also loves music & the scene as much as he did. I agree, Oliver Stone for director, but who for Bill? Hmm...I'm going to think about this one, and get back to you. Maybe if there's enough interest, one would get made?
George.

Just signed on tonight. Thanks for making this available, and making it FREE! And, I must admit, I was disappointed to read about Bob Weir's potential suit against you. Of all people, you would think he wouldn't mind letting us hear old vault tapes of shows gone by. Then again, it seems the Good Ole' Grateful Dead aren't what they used to be since ...
