Sooo, I am appealing to Wolfgang's Vault to provide the pleasure of hearing the concert if Bill recorded it.  I know I missed the whole thing and would enjoy the opportunity.

And that's the point...let's hear/experience his work, warts and all!  Personally, I like the idea of the change to soul...Buddy Miles enough said.

So why can't those who have never heard the complete concert experience it here?

One of the most interesting things about Jimi was the New Year's concert at the Filmore East...He changed personnel and gave a ''soul'' concert.  Let's hear it.

Well, check out Graham Central Station (Larry Graham, Sly's thimpin' bass player) comes to mind.  Tower of Power... There are several 'jam bands'.. the Allman Brothers, Edgar Winter, Traffic. Check out Cold Blood, Miles Davis, 1970, Herbie Hancock...Headhunter colab.. Blues...Stevie Ray Vaughn, B.B. King, Albert ...

I think one of the most compelling concerts, Jimi changing to a ''soul'' backup band featuring Buddy Miles on drums...let's hear it from the Filmore East!
