God I hate Cream. I'd also love to punch Pete in the face. Self absorbed twit. Alex Lifeson plays circles around both. Neil wrote the real elves and gnomes lyrics, and Geddy's squeal was unrivaled.
The Clash were also extremely over rated - right up there with Elvis Costello. Please learn to carry a tune. ''And I live by the ...

Didn't Ginger also coin ''the looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand'' or was that peter james Bond?
Actually I was kidding, I always kind of blank out after the tired starlings and purple fishes so I am not sure about ''your too young, and I'm too well hung''.....(David St Hubbins). I think Cream took themselves far tyoo seriously but ...

Personally I think they are THE most under rated band of the our time. Pearts lyrics changed starting with Moving pictures but the early stuff (Bytor and the Snowdog! all of 2112!) is cringe worthy - luckily the music is fcking phenomenal......
But the lyrics to LZ aren't that fucking bad.....have you ever listened to White Room or ...

Wow that's harsh....I still like them...personally never having seen them live, I think the public record on how good they were live is a little stronger than what you saw - but hey it's all gravy
But you reminded me of a Spinal Tap moment....I saw The Cult a few times but the first was opening for Metallica on the ''Justice'' tour. ...

I am impressed that anyone in 11th grade today actually know who Malmsteen and Vai are. But I digress...

Weirdly,
We'll agree to disagree on the LZ Lyrics and theft thing. But - Hey I like the WHo - I think almost everything up to ''Who are you'' is classic shite and live they were fcking great. I also think their reach exceeded their grasp with some of the pretentious shite they attempted to put out but at least it's an A for ...

Good god. these are the most easily available boots in the history of music. I have about 30 shows from 75 (firts live shows in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Toronto) through to 88. Every tour plus all their many live albums. Of which suprisingly, Rush In Rio is by far the greatest.

Fellow BOC fans, I have many boots but I can never find one where they attempted to recreate the multi guitar harmony solo (for lack of a better descriptor) on Dominance - am I alone?''Buck Dharma's fingers were flying faster than shithouse mouse...'' Creem Magazine 1979

I was always a big fan - very sad when he died....

My first real concert was Sabbath with Dio on the Mob Rules tour in Edmonton. Still have the ticket stub - $15 Canadian. I pulled a clip off youtube of the band back in 1981 0r 82 and RJD looks a hundred years old back then but Iommi was kicking ass.....
If only I could get in the Wayback machine and watch the show again and really ...

Not a big fan of Ginger Baker and I agree that while unique - Bonham and Moon were both a bit ....predictable. Phil Rudd is the master (only half kidding).
As for innovation, not sure what your after, I mean what they did, they did really really well....

Zeppelin could rock though. Just listen to a song like Communication Breakdown. It's got balls. Same with Heartbreaker, Living Loving Maid, Houses of the Holy, etc. Page was a thief and a fairly sloppy guitar player, but he was quite innovative with his instrument and very skilled too. He was also a master craftsmen of great ...

I am a big Sabbath fan from way back and I am pumped that they are touring with Dio again. I am going to see them again for the first time since 81. Anyone know the setlist?

I read the article. And.....so what. Rock is littered with assholes. Most of them in fact.
I agree that he was a *** but if I held the personal lives and decisions of all my favourite bands up to the light and chose only those that were virtuous and good I'd only be listening to the Brady Bunch. Or Stryper.
Unfortunately I need ...

Duran Duran was awesome. Especially Wild Boys, unfortunately (or fortunately) I was in the bar getting hammered for most of it while we waited for Bowie to come on after them....
Peter Grant was my response to Peter H. You subconsciously implanted it in my head when I was looking for a tagname to provoke the FIRST man ever to ...

Hendrix and the Beatles partied like the rock Gods they were. Back in Shagadelic Swinging London. And Zep was all over Finnish TV.

Peter H you are an overeducated idiot. I normally don't take the bait and respond in kind but I can't help it.
First of all the constant resume flashing is fcking annoying and me thinks you protest too much ie. you are in fact a 34 year old *** living at homw with your parents. No one cares this much negatively or positively about any band if ...
