In response to San Tropez' earlier post:
Actually I would be surprised if the story were false. I have spoken to people through the years who say they were at one of the shows. Also, the reaction of the audience would not be surprising given that, IMO, Ian Anderson is unsurpassed as a Showman. Few other musicians, (Zappa, Hendrix to name a ...

Thank you so much for the wonderful Jethro Tull concert you recently released. I'm in heaven ... and what a show indeed. This was perhaps the most talented of all of the many Tull lineups. Worth noting is that Ian's voice would go out in the next couple of months. (I saw them on Thanksgiving of this tour and Ian's voice totally failed him.) ...

It would be great if a ''date added'' tag could be included as part of the concert information. Currently it is hard to tell what concerts have only recently been added. Keep up the good work.

Great site but must say I am disappointed at the initial offerings. How about offfering us some of the overlooked classic/progressive rock bands. Please consider some 70s era Tull, some Yes, Supertramp, more early Genesis and of course .... More Zappa please.

I can't get anything to stream in Safari since the update on the site. It tells me that I have to install flash which was already installed in the first place. So I install flash again and restart my system and then get the same message, 'Flash needed' or something similar. I get it to stream in Firefox no problem.

Ever heard of Neil Young? IMO as great a song writer as we have seen. Just one listen to his recently released ''Live at Massy Hall'' speaks volumes. You simply cannot talk about great songwriters without mentioning Neil.

Weird of Hermiston, you have got to be the most pompous, musically uninformed person I have ever heard. In the past few weeks you have espoused that Zappa had nothing to say; you have put down John Lennon by stating that he was merely a ''hypocrite and a bum'' while maintaining that the only true geniouses were Hendrix, Clapton, and Dylan. ...

tenorcat:I saw Hendrix and I saw the Mothers. Did you?
Zappa was an inovative composer and studio arranger. I got Zappa. He was a hundred times the musician Jimi was in my book. Just look at his scores. I don't think Jimi could even read music. Zappa was no Gil Evans, George Russell or Duke Ellington, however.
The thing for me is that he ...

Billiam:Saw Hendrix (2 times in 68); saw Zappa (once in 1977).  Hendrix was much more of an innovator than Zappa.  Zappa could play alright, but his style is kind of a poor man's John McLaughlin or something.  He stood out because you expected a shredder rock and roller and you get this charming jazz/rock thing.  Zappa was ...

Just because you were too unfortunate to get it, doesn't mean he was a ''psuedo-intellectual.'' It can take years to get the essence of what Zappa was doing. His brilliance must be sought, it isn't just handed to you like so many Jimi Page solos. So get over youself and get back and study! The benefits you will reep will be enourmous, just ...

If you really want to do these kids a favor you'll introduce them to Frank Zappa. IMO his guitar playing kicked everyone's a%s.
Peter H:I have a long term substituting gig with some 11th
graders and today they were bashing Hendrix as over-rated when compared to
Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai. I tried to explain his importance as an
innovator ...

especially the ''Night At The Opera'' concert!

How about some love for more Zappa and Pink Floyd, and some early 70s Genesis, some Supertramp, Yes ... Just puttin' it out there. Thanks again for the great site.

I feel as if I've died and gone to heaven. This site is absolutely fantastic and respresents music at it's best and most powerful. Any chance that we get to hear any of the Jethro Tull concerts, especially early to mid 70s?
As a sidebar, I feel that the short write up in the Jethro Tull ''learn more about the band'' section of the vault, does ...
