    I never thought much of Steppenwolf back then; figured they were kind of a crossover 'commercial' band because of Born To Be Wild but the 1968 concert they just put up shows they really were a good live band, especially for 1968. Nice performance.

    I was lucky enough to have seen them in Feb 1969 in Chicago as a 17 year old, along with Jethro Tull and the headliner - Vanilla Fudge (ha). I missed most of the Fudge's set because I had to get my date home before curfew but given that I had just seen Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin, it really didn't matter. $5 and we sat on the floor probably 10 ...
