bloomsdisco:Hello, MB fans -- Reading through the numerous posts regarding Michael here at the vault, I notice that there are many questions regarding where and when Bloomfield played a particular Fillmore or Winterland gig, and who with. I've recently put up a detailed discography/performance history site which has as much information about MB as

That is a great movie but I wish they had included the closing jam. I'd give just about anything to see it!! Another film with Mike in a cameo spot is the Les Paul documentary. He is interviewed while holding his guitar and talking about the use of Les Paul's all over the world.
I am praying the vault holds much more ...

Hi Deezee!
I've seen those photos. In fact, I have tons of old magazines with pictures of Mike. If I knew how to insert a picture, I'd post a few. By the way, that is John Hammond, Jr. with Michael in those pictures. Buzzy Linhart was also featured in the same article.
Thanks for sharing your memories!!

Hi Mia!
As always, I enjoy your posts. You remind me of myself. I
thought I was the only chick who 'gets' Mike Bloomfield!
My favorite bootlegs: all the shows at the Fillmore West 1969, both
shows at The Bottom Line 1975, all the Butterfield stuff,
10-20-78 (I put that one in circulation), 12-12-80 (I put this one in

Billiam:.
I only saw him twice. First was the Electric Flag Dec 1967 at
Winterland, the second is when he came onstage to jam with Johnny
Winter at Fillmore West, I think in 1970. After that, I heard he had
kind of lost it and I had branched out into all kinds of other music.
Long live the memory of Mike and may he RIP.
He DIDN'T lose it ...

Mia:Do you ever read the old forum on mikebloomfield.com? Even though it's shut down, there's a lot of old posts that are really interesting to read. Some stories from people who saw him live & the like.. Actually, if you're like me, you've probably searched high & low to find out any & all information regarding him ...

Hi Mia,
Boy, you sound like me! I can never get enough of Michael's
music. I totally get what you're saying about the Newport
gig. LOVE IT!! You HAVE seen the DVD titled
Festival, I hope. There is a lot of footage of
Michael (with Dylan, with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and
also an interview

Whit,
check your private messages.

Oh Whit! Thank you!!
That is exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. Mike was
genuine. I never had the privilege of seeing him live, but after
reading every possible thing I can about him I feel like I know
him. Appreciate your input so much!! Thanks again!

I'd LOVE to hear about ANY of Mike Bloomfield shows from those who were lucky enough to see him live (with Al Kooper, or Electric Flag or Paul Butterfield or any incarnation).
