Has anyone else noticed the difference between this concert and the King Biscuit Flower Hour radio show also recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon? Aside from the different mix and the additional songs, some of these songs are definitely not from the same recording. The distinctive soundcheck at the beginning is identical, and a few songs such as "Anything That's Rock 'n' Roll" and "Even The Losers" could be the same, but other songs like "Don't Do Me Like That", "Cry To Me", "Stories We Could Tell", "American Girl", "Breakdown" and "Shout" are obviously different. TPATH played two consecutive nights at the Hammersmith, March 6th and 7th, 1980. It appears that both nights were recorded as Petty mentions that the show is being recorded for the radio at different points in the WV concert and the KBFH show. On the KBFH recording of "Cry To Me", Petty asks the audience "Who was here last night?" which seems to indicate that it was recorded on the second night. The WV version of "Cry To Me", which is a different recording, must have come from the first night (March 6th). It's possible that the KBFH radio show, which are edited anyway, used material from both nights. But if the WV version is a complete, unedited master recording of one concert, it would be the first night (March 6th). Does anyone else think that is the case?
