    No Spirit?

I saw Spirit at both the Fillmore and Winterland many times in the late `60s and early `70s and they ranked among the best bands I ever saw. In fact I am a life-long guitarist and I was playing professionally at the time and my main influences were Randy California and Jim Hendrix. In my opinion California is the most underrated guitarist in the history of rock-n-roll. If Spirit didn't make a lasting impression it must be because their studio recordings never met the same standards. Their live performances were unbelievable and Workgang's Vault must contain many incredible sets. Please, please bring it back. Anyone else interested in hearing live Spirit?

    Yes on Spirit!

Never missed a Spirit show at the Fillmore or Winterland after seeing them the first time.

    One of the best.

Need to make full concerts available.

I never saw Spirit in concert, but still an all time favorite.  They definitely need to be brought out of the vault and made available to the Spirit fans.

Saw Spirit in London and New York

London lineup in 1975 was The Police, Altenative TV and headlining Spirit

Randy was awesome and invited everyone back to the hotel afterwards - about 250-300 people showed up and the hotel threw a fit....  We hung out with Randy, Ed and Fuzzy for an hour in front of the hotel.  Wha a genuinely nice person Randy was.  Sorely missed.

I saw Spirit many times also. I tell young players to listen to spirit and Randy California. He never got his due. They don't get it. Those guys were badd.

    Re: No Spirit?

I also hope WV can add an entire Spirt show - When it was just random play Vault Radio they did play two cuts:

    Spirit 1984 Fillmore West 05/16/1970

Spirit Nothing to Hide Fillmore West 05/16/1970

This is from some notes I kept for a checklist of shows to look out for when they are released in full.

I saw a late, late version of Spirit just a few years before Randy died, and was a fun show.  This band was in a place all their own.
