first off, thanks for an incredible venue! just wanted to give my thoughts on a truly great man,
bill graham. 1969-1971 were years that myself and
three best pals would see every weekend show
and occasionally mid week holiday event. we never saw the early shows and so the late deal was the "real deal!" in you wildest dreams you couldn't imagine the energy during those times.
next door to the fillmore was the greatest munchie
deli in the world. as far as the fillmore was concerned it was immaculate, great second floor
food and acoustics that will never be matched.
i made it a point after each show to shake bill's hand. he would hang out in the orchestra section
and was so totally NewYork. o-k, so that's my two cents. great guy who is still with us in the Wolfgang Vault. ps- the grateful dead and audience vibe was ...... can't even put it words..
