    WOW!!
Thank you so much for the Rory Gallagher '78 Bottom Line Club gig. What an astonishing concert! I was lucky enough to see the great man on many occasions and he always gave 100%. A truly brilliant & gifted  performer who is  greatly missed. There are many G-Man fans around the world who are going to be raving about this gig. Thanks once again, you've made a Welshman extremely happy.

PS Without wanting to sound greedy, how about the 1975 Record Plant session sometime in the future?

Kind regards to all at Wolfgang's Vault

Great to hear rory at his best.I have always preferred him playing in a 3 piece band I feel he does work harder with a 3 piece.Any of you guys think otherwise?

    Re: rory gallagher

I saw Rory Gallagher in the summer of 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pa., opening for Foghat at the height of their Slow Ride success. Rory Gallagher was so good (and Foghat so bad) that Foghat was getting booed off the stage and we were all chanting Rory, Rory to come back out. He was a great concert act!

    Re: rory gallagher

Thank you thank you!  I was also at the Pittsburgh show (at the Civic Arena) and could not remember who the main act was because Rory was so damn good.  I had never heard of him, and he came out in that flannel shirt (unheard of for a rock act in the '70's) and just blew us away.  Thanks for finally answering that question.  And yes, Iremember booing Foghat (hated them ever since) and chanting for Rory.

    Re: rory gallagher

     Hi again ,

thx for this great Rory Gallagher concert  "Shrine Auditorium ", Los Angeles . But the year is wrong ... it's never a concert  from 1974 !

He's playing songs from the album "Calling Card "  which was released 1976 !

So it will be a concert from March 1977 if the month is right . Nevertheless , thank you again . What a fantastic concert . Rory is such an  unbelievable good  guitarist !

    Hi Johan ,

    thank you .

Now we know  this is a mix  of different concerts . Heard  one of the earlier   Shrine events ended abruptly  because the PA desk broke down and ruined  the concert . A very bad    mistake of the concert management .

    Re: rory gallagher

Hmm, what´s strange is that Rory before A Million Miles Away, says something like "Her´s a new song you might like to hear".... A Million Miles is from Tattoo, from 1973?

    So?

    Re: rory gallagher

Re. the PA breakdown, I remember seeing Rory at the Manchester Apollo, UK, about 1978. Part way through a song they lost all sound from the stage. Rory coolly walked to the back of the stage, picked up the acoustic and played the acoustic part of the gig completely unamplified to an audience of 2,500 who kept completely silent during the songs so everyone could hear. Once they'd got the sound back he plugged in and carrried on with the electric set. A true pro!
