I'd always assumed that some shows were mono and some were stereo depending on the original source .

However I just started streaming the Dire Straits San Antonio 1985 show and it was coming through in glorious Stereo but when I started it for a second (and subsequent) times it was always Mono.

What determines whether something streams in Stereo or Mono and is there something I can do to ensure that I get Stereo?
