    Forwarding shows

I consistently fwd really great shows to a couple of friends. I wanted to share the Pretenders show with a bunch of people, so rather than enter all these addresses, I fwded it to myself, but I found that there's no clickable link imbedded in the message body to the individual show I want to share, only to the Wolfgang's Vault homepage. Is this a bug that can be fixed. I'd been wondering why my friends never commented about the shows I'd been sharing

    Are you using this URL?

    http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com/dt/the-pretenders-concert/20050686-7712.html

That will take you directly to the Detail Page for the Pretenders concert.  I got this by going to that page & copy/pasting the URL.

    Re: Forwarding shows

I always forwarded it from the player, but I just now tried forwarding it from the detail page: A window pops up asking for email addresses, my name, & a message body. I went to the address I sent it to, which has 4 clickable links: my name which links to my email, and 2 The Concert Vault links, which link to http://concerts.wolfgangsvault.com which is the concerts homepage, and Wolfgang's Vault which links to www.wolfgangsvault.com . I talked to my friend I regularly send stuff to, & she says unless I mention the performer in the message body, she never knows who I'm sharing. I just told her to go to the website, & do a search for Pretenders, "Chrissie Hynde", or "hynde, Chrissie" and then rock on

What Mr PC was suggesting you do is when you get to the detail page, copy the url for that page from the address line of your browser.  Then, from your usual email program, create an email to your friend and paste the url to that detail page in the body of the message.  Your friend can then go directly to the detail page.  You can't use a url to get directly to the Concert Vault Player.

    Re: Forwarding shows

Ok, I've never used the "tell a friend" feature, but I just checked that out.  You can paste the URL  into the "message" section of the tell a friend form, and your friend can use that to link to the detail page.

    Re: Forwarding shows

All true, and less than perfect.

In our next release the "Tell a Friend" feature will be modified to automatically include a link directly to the concert you invoke it from.

    cheers - Mr. PC
