OK, first the obvious:

David's last name is spelled "Gilmour" not "Gilmore".

That is obviously Roger Waters who makes the intro before "Us and Them". In the post-Barrett Floyd, Roger was the band spokesman and de facto 'leader' (until his departure, of course.)

Here's where things get strange: this recording is obviously an (incomplete, seems like this source would fit perfectly on a 79:57 min. cdr) audience tape of this famous gig. Also sounds like it is in mono as well. There is a complete audience recording of this show that has been around in various forms for a long time. The WV source may in fact come from this very same tape. (Can't compare with my copy as my cassette deck is dead!)

Why Wolfgang's Vault would list an audience recording as "soundboard" is beyond me.

(These things must be obvious to others out there, right?)

Meddle Tour?

Did PF do a tour for the release of Meddle? I've never come across a gig recording that seems to fit that bill. Mostly just performances of "One of These Days" and "Echoes" surrounded by earlier stuff (which I guess was before Meddle was recorded).

Never heard the other Meddle tracks live and would be great if they're out there somewhere.

Really enjoyed hearing your recording of the Pink Floyd Oakland 1977 show. It is SO refreshing to know there's someone around who will give fans a voice and deliver what we've all been hoping for all these years: superb archive recordings. Puts the major lables to shame, no wonder they're sore about it!

Pity the first half of the show is largely missing, but nothing to be done about that - the glass is certainly half full here.

What is Roger saying at the beginning of the song? At first it sounded like he said the song is about being on a reefer but i dont think thats it.

I know there has to be more floyd that was recorded besides the one in 4-29-70 at the filmore. It would rock if the other shows got up and going on the site!

I know the best pink floyd show I have been to was the Los Angles sports arena in april 1975.They came out & played Wish You Were Here took A break then played all of Dark Side Of The Moon. then they came out & played Echos off of Meddle.What can you say execpt they went to S.F. & played @ the filmore I know this for A fact beacuse I still have the poster& comic book you got @ the door.
