How to Rip DVD to AVI for Final Cut Pro on Mac?

As we know, Final Cut Pro supports all most video formats, like DV, SD, HDV, DVCPRO HD, even HD uncompressed and so on. Therefore, with it, we can easily and fastly edit almost videos. But there is another problem that we may meet that is how to edit DVD via FCP.

To solve the problem, the following two questions we must know.

Why rip DVD to AVI ?
Usually, DVD has two video formats, that is MPEG and VOB. As for MPGE, it can directly add and edit with FCP, while as for VOB, the program can not work. So if we want to edit DVD on FCP as for the second case, we need to rip DVD to other popular video formats acceptable to FCP.

In addition, AVI is a lossless, so converting DVD to AVI will not affect its quality of picture.

How to rip DVD to AVI ?

Tips:
We can customize the video and audio encoding settings and save as our own profile. After we have chosen the encoding options, just click the “Save as” button and name our profile, and then the profile will be saved in the “User Defined” list. We can use the customized profile next time by selecting it from the list.

Apply to all: Check this option to apply the current profile to all the files.

Merge into one file: Click this opinion and the program will convert all the selected video files into a single file.

Step 4. Start conversion by clicking the “Start” button.
Okay, after the conversion we can easily and smoothly copy the ripped DVD from the destination folder to FCP for further editing.

OK there cannot be a Bill Graham/Fillmore Auditorium concert vault without Jefferson Airplane being the MAIN voice, band and inspiration for this site! Would love to see a JA/JS forum. Just saw them at a private party last weekend. These guys still bring it and Marty's voice is impeccable.

Am I missing something? I'd love to drive with the 68/69 shows? Did someone not want to allow it?

Jefferson's Tree of Liberty is a 2008 studio album by Jefferson Starship, released on September 2nd, 2008.^[1] It is the tenth studio album recorded by the band under the Jefferson Starship name, the first studio album since 1999's Windows of Heaven and the first on a major label by the band since 1989 when Starship's Love Among the Cannibals and Jefferson Airplane's reunion album, Jefferson Airplane were both released. The new album includes cover songs from Irish, American, and Latin-American traditions.^[2] The title is a reference to Thomas Jefferson's quotation, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."^[3]^[4] The idea began in 2003 as "The Cuba Project",^[5] which was to include classic protest and folk songs recorded in Cuba. In 2008 the album was finally recorded but in California. About half of the songs planned for The Cuba Project were used on the final cut, with other songs coming from Jefferson Starship's previous repertoire and another project band member Paul Kantner had planned called "On the Threshold of Fire."^[6] The promotional tour for the album began in late June with shows at Larkspur, California followed by tours in the US and Europe before the album's release, and now continues through the end of 2008 with a further tour in the US and a tour in Japan.^[7]

It is a pleasure to be here. I'm Craig Fenton the author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent."

I'm curious if any of you fine fans have an alternate version to the common 10/15/66 Tape/CDR.

It has addtional tracks and one specific reference by Marty that this wold be Signe's last gig.

As always I offer more in return for anything I need. I don't care about the quality, the authenticity is most important. Tape, CDR, or MP3 is fine.
