As we know, Final Cut Pro supports all most video formats, like DV, SD, HDV, DVCPRO HD, even HD uncompressed and so on. Therefore, with it, we can easily and fastly edit almost videos. But there is another problem that we may meet that is how to edit DVD via FCP.

To solve the problem, the following two questions we must know.

Why rip DVD to AVI ?
Usually, DVD has two video formats, that is MPEG and VOB. As for MPGE, it can directly add and edit with FCP, while as for VOB, the program can not work. So if we want to edit DVD on FCP as for the second case, we need to rip DVD to other popular video formats acceptable to FCP.

In addition, AVI is a lossless, so converting DVD to AVI will not affect its quality of picture.

How to rip DVD to AVI ?
Here I would like to take Moyea DVD Ripper for Mac as an example to demonstrate the concrete steps for its advanced audio and video sync technology and excellent after-sale service.

Step 1. Download and install Moyea DVD Ripper for Mac.

Step 2. Add DVD to the program

Run the program and click “Add”, it supplies four ways to load files:

A. Load from DVD Rom: All DVD files can be automatically detected and recognized from DVD Rom and daemon via this program.
B. Load DVD folder: Sometimes DVD folders stored in your hard drive, it shows like “Video_ts” folder and “Audio_ts” folder. You can click the “Video_ts” folder to load it onto the program.
C. Load ISO image files: You may amount your ISO files in the daemon tools and then load the DVD file from the virtual DVD drive.
D. Load IFO files: Click to import DVD files and load IFO files.

Step 3. Output settings
Choose AVI as the output video format. After that, it is the time to check out the setting panel by clicking the “Settings” button.

Profile: Click here to know which formats FCP supports.
Settings->Video: Set video encoding settings by selecting a frame rate, a video encoder and a bit rate.

Settings->Audio: Set audio encoding settings by selecting a sample rate, an audio channel, an audio encoder and a bit rate.

Tips:
We can customize the video and audio encoding settings and save as our own profile. After we have chosen the encoding options, just click the “Save as” button and name our profile, and then the profile will be saved in the “User Defined” list. We can use the customized profile next time by selecting it from the list.

Apply to all: Check this option to apply the current profile to all the files.

Merge into one file: Click this opinion and the program will convert all the selected video files into a single file.

Step 4. Start conversion by clicking the “Start” button.
Okay, after the conversion we can easily and smoothly copy the ripped DVD from the destination folder to FCP for further editing.

Actually Moyea DVD Ripper for Macnot only can rip DVD to AVI but also rip DVD to MP4, 3GP, MPEG-4, FLV, MOV, 3G2, VOB, MP3, FLAV, MKV, OGG, WMV, AC3, M4A to be played on iPod, iPhone, PSP, Blackberry, Zune, and various Cell Phones.

Anyway, Moyea DVD Ripper for Mac realizes our goal to enjoy DVD in a different way.

Have it and it will rock your digital life.

How to convert MKV to mp4 on Mac

MP4 is short for Moving Picture Expert Group-4.

Recently, I often see people asking questions about how to convert their AVCHD video files (in the format of .mts and .m2ts) which are recorded by HD camcorders like Sony HDR-SR12E, JVC GZ-HD300, Canon HF S10, etc. to AVI, a popular general video format. To help people solve this problem, this tutorial will show you how to transcode MTS and M2TS video files into AVI files via Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter.

Please follow this step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Download, install and launch Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter

This software can convert MTS and M2TS to many other video and audio formats such as AVI, MP4, 3GP, MPG, MPEG-4, FLV, MOV, 3G2, VOB, MP3, FLAC, MKA, OGG, WAV, AC3, M4A etc. perfectly. You can download its free trial version here: Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter. And then install and run it.

Step 2: Load MTS and M2TS files, select AVI as output format

Click “Add” button to browse and load your MTS or M2TS files to this program. After that, you should click on the drop-down list of “Format” to select AVI as the output format.

Meanwhile, if you want to combine multiple files to be one file, you can tick the checkbox of “Merge into one file”, besides, you can specify the save path via clicking the folder icon at the end of “Output”, if not, the program will export the output AVI files to a destination folder set by default.

Step 3: Set advanced settings

If you want to adjust the audio and video parameters of your files, you can click “Setting” to do it. The following pop-up window allows you to change codec, the figures of bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, etc. so that you can do advanced settings according to your own requirements. Generally speaking, the larger figures generate larger file size but better quality; the smaller values produce smaller file size but inferior quality.

Step 4: Convert

After the above three steps are finished, now you can click “Convert” button to start conversion, and the output AVI files can be found by pressing button “Open”.

Just 4 simple steps and you can convert AVCHD camcorder MTS/M2TS files to AVI with ease. If you don’t want to wait around during the conversion, this program can automatically shut down the computer when conversion is done.

Best Stereo shows for download?

I'm going through all the JA shows and since there are a ton of them it is getting time consuming.
It is a pleasure to be here. I'm Craig Fenton the author of the Jefferson Airplane book "Take Me To A Circus Tent."

I'm curious if any of you fine fans have an alternate version to the common 10/15/66 Tape/CDR.

It has addtional tracks and one specific reference by Marty that this wold be Signe's last gig.

As always I offer more in return for anything I need. I don't care about the quality, the authenticity is most important. Tape, CDR, or MP3 is fine.

Please contact me at your convenience by putting Jefferson Airplane in the subject line at

If all goes well next month Signe's long awaited website will be up and running. Let us hopeshe continues to get good checkups form the doctor. Wish her well please.

Thanks for your time and happy Wednesday,
