Wanna download them for local playback or convert them to do other use but without an available tool? Do be worry, this post here aims to solve this problem for you, and will show you how to download and convert YouTube videos about Halloween on Mac in detailed steps. Just go through it to see whether it can meet your needs or not.

Software I’m in use is called Pavtube YouTube Converter for Mac. You can free download it via clicking the link on it.

Step 1: Install and run Pavtube YouTube Converter for Mac.

As soon as you launch it, the following interface will show up. Hit “Add URL” button, after that you will be led to the window showing in step 2.

Step 2: Input URL, select output format, specify file name and save path

Once you press “Add URL” button in the interface above, the following window will appear. Copy and paste the URL of the YouTube Halloween videos which you want to download and convert into the textbox after “URL”. Meanwhile, if you also want to keep the original FLV files, you can tick the checkbox of “Save FLV File”.

Afterwards, click on the drop-down list of “Convert To” to select the output format according to your end use. For example, import these Halloween videos to iPhone, iPod, PSP for playback, you can select MP4; add to iMovie for further editing you can choose MOV; load to BlackBerry for enjoyment, you can choose AVI or WMV; input to mobile phone for entertainment you can select 3GP, all in all, you can choose whatever format as you like.

Although this program can generate file name and save path automatically, it also allows users to specify their liked file name and save path. What you should do is just typing your preferred file name into the textbox after “Save As”, and clicking on “Browse” button to specify a path to store the output files.

Step 3: Custom video and audio parameters

Pavtube YouTube Converter for Mac also enables users to adjust video and audio parameters like codec, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, etc., so that you can make control of the output file size as well as video quality. Usually, the larger input values will produce better video quality in accordance with larger file size; the smaller inserted figures will generate more inferior video quality accompanying with smaller file size.

Step 4: Download and convert

This program can proceed downloading and converting simultaneously, once all the above steps are finished, you can click “OK” button to start, then the interface as below will show you the progress clearly, see, even batch tasks can be done at the same time. As soon as completed, click on the file which you want to open firstly, and then click “Open” button, afterwards you will get it easily.
