Vaultster PaulCaruso wrote that Hendrix did 6 shows over 3 nights at Winterland. But, as I have posted elsewhere at this site, these were not separate "shows." In other words, the Winterland Ballroom was not emptied and a new audience allowed in. When the doors opened and you grabbed your apple and made your way inside, you were allowed to stay from 7 pm until closing. I was at the Hendrix shows at Winterland both in February and October of 1968 and I can say for sure that I saw him do two sets a night. So, to be accurate, Hendrix did 6 SETS of music over 3 nights. He did repeat some songs in the second set each night, popular ones like "Foxey Lady" and "Fire". Meanwhile, the October shows were fabulous and I have written in some detail about both the February and October shows that I attended in the "Performers" section of the Forum at this site.
