    Nashville - I didn't see that card. My first Who show was at the Fillmore East (it might have still been called the Anderson Theatre) when they were on a bill with the Rich Kids, Mountain, and the Blues Project (maybe somebody else too). I recall "prepping" for the show with my buddies at the Old Stanley on Avenue B. The Who were playing those silly Murray the K shows uptown with Cream, so they got a chance to stretch out. The Blues Project had a pretty good local rep, and some people thought they would close the show. Of course that would have been foolish. I'm pretty sure that was in '67.

    You should check out the book "Roadwork" by Tom Wright - it has some hilarious stories about the HH, Who, Blues Magoos tour. You can just stand and read it at B&N or Borders.
