Hey Mr. Mushroom,
Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I'm glad you weren't holding your breath ;-)
Your questions deserve a few comments. First, you are absolutely right - we have been focusing on 70s and 80s material over the past few weeks, at the expense of posting more pre-70s concerts. These mainly come working on the King Biscuit and Record Plant archives, which have taken a bit of our attention.
Another factor is that we are currently working towards posting a massive addition of concerts to the Vault later this year - an addition of as many as a thousand concerts, perhaps more. As you can imagine this is occupying a
lot of our time.
All that said, we have indeed strayed a bit from our "roots" - the Graham archives. We will get back to them as soon as possible. You will see some new additions later this month, and we'll make an effort to post a couple every week.
Finally, in answer to your last question - yes, the complete concerts from which Vault Radio tracks came will all eventually find their way into the Concert Vault. I want to hear them again too ;-)
Cheers!
Mr. Mushroom:Hey Concert/Wolfgang's Vault folks... What's happened to vintage concerts from the actual Wolfgang's Vault (aka the Bill Graham Archives)? I've just gone through the last 17 weeks of WV newsletters and over that time, only 6 shows have been added from the pre 1970 years, and there isn't one show from that era available for download. I'll admit you have been adding some really good shows in that time, but the thing that got this old fart excited when I started listening to Vault Radio back in early March '06 was all the great music you offered from my "formative" years. I know you have a lot available now, but I could give you examples of dozens and dozens of shows you used to play tracks from that have not been heard of since you went to your new format back in November of last year.
I guess what I'd like to know is there any chance those shows will be showing up again and will they (and the shows that you do have available to listen to now) ever be available for download?
I'd really appreciate a reply, although I'm not holding my breath.
