Kristofferson went to high school in San Mateo, nor-cal, not so-cal. Merv Griffin also went to San Mateo. Kris was on Merv's show right before San Mateo high's 100 year, all class, reunion and was asked if he was attending and the "good ole country boy" offered up the excuse that " he couldn't even remember where he went to high school". Weak. He wrote some pretty good songs for a city kid though.
