    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

It's me again, with another correction.  In the description of the Rolling Stones concert you just posted, the story about their appearance on Ed Sullivan has it wrong.  Ed asked them to say lets spend some TIME together instead of the night together.  Mick did indeed comply.  But each time he said "time" he did so with a very exagerrated look and voice.  I know, I watched it back in the year 1967.  And this can be confirmed in many sources.

One more thing -- Bill Wyman is not credited for playing bass.  This was of course, well before he quit the group and before he married a cute teenager. He wasn't old enough yet to do either.

On the music itself -- it sure sounds like this was the tail end of a tour.  IMO, Mick's voice is not in good shape, being a bit on the "husky" side. But he sounds like an opera singer compared to Keith's backup vocals. My word, he is just awful. No wonder they lugged along excellent backup vocalists on later tours -- improved the sound a lot.
