Levon Helm and  the R.C.O. All Stars included Legendary Paul  Butterfield, Mac  Rebennack (Dr. John), Donald "Duck" Dunn,  Steve  Cropper,  Fred  Carter,Jr., Howard  Johnson (Baritone  Sax  and Tuba) and  some  cats  who  had  been  IN  or  had  BEEN   The  Saturday Night  Live horn section, prior to  joining  Levon  and  co. Great  overall sound.  Saw 'em  twice  in '77 and  maybe  early  '78  -  Pleasured  immensely  to  see  AND   hear Paul  Butterfield,  who  I never  thought  until '77  I'd  see  live. Recently  got  a LIVE  CD  of  this  group  New Years' Eve 1977 at  the  Palladium, NYC,  by  'em.   it's  GRRRREAT  !      Look  up  under  music  by  Levon  Helm  and/or Paul  Butterfield.
