I'm currently working on the Winterland run of 9-30-66->10-2-66. This was the second ever run that Bill Graham presented at Winterland. It featured The Airplane opening and closing , with sets by The Muddy Waters Blues Band and Paul Butterfield Blues Band in between.

This is a particularly fascinating run, as The Airplane debuted a bunch of material during these shows. They also feature one of the more fascinating transitions between sets that I've encountered. On one of these shows, The Airplane close their set by inviting Muddy Waters band onstage to join them on "Midnight Hour." The two groups perform this song together and then Muddy Waters set continues where The Airplane's set left off, with no downtime in between.
