Thank you for taking a stand.
I am concerned about MP3 quality. I would also be interested in a lossless download or ordering a lossless CD.
The sound quality difference between an MP3 and an original factory CD is obvious when played on either my home system or my car. Thus, I no longer bother with MP3's, not due to incompatability, but sound quality. For the general music public, this difference may not be a concern. I'm guessing, however, that many people who enjoy the concerts here are more particular about sound quality, whether they are collectors, audiophiles, musicians, or they simply enjoy music at a very high, and not a casual, level (count me as all 4).
If there is a show I really want (Ozzy Osbourne/Randy Rhoads '81), I'll pay whatever it costs for a lossless version. I already have a great non-lossless version of the broadcast, so a non-lossless download is not that attractive to me. Muleman2 has a great point about having lossless and non-lossless versions available for different prices. Plus, choice increases sales.
Thanks for such an unprecedented site,
Brad
