Wow that's harsh....I still like them...personally never having seen them live, I think the public record on how good they were live is a little stronger than what you saw - but hey it's all gravy

But you reminded me of a Spinal Tap moment....I saw The Cult a few times but the first was opening for Metallica on the "Justice" tour. Astbury was so fucked up he couldn't speak and singing was an adventure. In the middle of "Sanctuary" Duffy's guitar mic crapped out and it went dead silent. While the roadies rushed on stage and tried to fix it the band kind of degenerated midsong, Astbury started singing "*** *** *** *** *** ***..." and then proceeded to fall off the stage, classic stuff...

Reminds me of another time I saw Soundgarden and Cornell was pissed about something - went to boot a cup of water into the crowd, fell on his ass, and Kim Thayil started laughing his ass off. The enocore was cut short - mid "outshined"... fcking hilarious....
