Regarding the lawsuit: This is misguided, at best. Don't the musicians (most of whom had their best days 40 years ago) behind this suit realize that their fan base is steadily decreasing? I would think they would welcome a site like this, which makes their music (which can't be purchased on CD or download) available to a vast range of people, young and old. Why do they want to suppress it? Don't they realize the historical value of these recordings? It almost seems as if there's some conspiracy by the music industry to kill off anything worthwhile.
To these musicians, if you are reading this: I'm sorry you believe you're losing money, but you need to be thankful there are people who are still interested in something you did 30 or 40 years ago. This site helps to serve the purpose of keeping your music alive. Don't you want your live concerts to live on and on? Then either back off or make it available for sale yourselves.
Great point, sorry to say but yeah some of us are getting -can I say "old"-and we will not be around forever. Maybe some young people might like this music also. Or is that the problem, then the new high price cd's sales will go down. I don' think thats it, but who knows. Funny, I did not see Ozzy Osbourne name on the lawsuit story. Well he is still a cool guy, always has been and always will be. He never turn in to a old fart like some of these singers did. Long live rock and roll, Rap music like the Ying Yang Twins might have a few cool videos but they never be as good as these old 60's bands. No way, and to think these ARE 35-40 years old. Think how much better they sounded at the time. All that recorded this music was such poor stuff compare to whats avaible today. Now of days they can fix the music so it sounds like they think it should. Not this old stuff, this is raw stuff and it still is so good.
