OK, after listening for about five weeks (and thanks for justifying the outrageous fees I pay to my broadband provider), I feel comfortable making a couple of requests...
I used to habituate the Fillmore East between '69-'71. I saw some great headliners, who you are well representing in your rotation. I'm going to ask if you can also dig up some audio on the mid- and low-liners on some of these shows....some of the groups who Bill thought were deserving of more exposure, or whose musicianship was so excellent-but never caught the public ear, and slipped back into the general din.
Here's who I mean:
-Seatrain
-Brian Auger w/Julie Driscoll & Trinity
-Hampton Grease Band
-If
-Paul Winter Consort
-Fairport Convention
-Buddy Miles Express
-Love
-Rotary Connection
-Dreams (this may be asking for a miracle, since they were on one of the Monday night 'new bands' shows at FE that I saw)
-Boffalongo (same)
Please accept my thanks. You do the this nation's cultural heritage a great service, and that's not meant as idle praise.
