For God's sake, get off of John Sebastian's back! When I was ten the Lovin Spoonful brought a well appreciated folk/jugband/pop/rock sound to AM radio that helped open the door for folk and country rock artists that followed shortly afterwards. Performing at Woodstock (tripping on acid) branded him the tie dye king and his solo career reflected that image from that point on. Unfortunately people seem to remember him from that or from "Welcome Back" or late night TV peddling oldies collections. The point is everybody has artists that they just don't get or like. Let's stop bellyaching about it. It makes you sound like some snobby record store clerk that pans everything that's not on his personal hit parade.
