I wanted to thank you for adding this particular show...as I was there. It's amazing to get to hear a show I attended almost thirty years ago. Not to get greedy, but it would be of particular interest to have the corresponding opening acts added....particularly some of the "local" acts that were mainstays as the openers for touring acts. Names like Earth Quake, Greg Kihn, Terry & The Pirates, and about twenty Grateful Dead spinoffs with various names spring to mind...
Also, somewhere in the KSAN vaults are pre-FM reels of many, many more local shows, including a series called "Rising Stars" that featured unsigned bands such as Romeo Void. I believe that there is a show featuring the Squares, with Joe Satriani on guitar. They're a perfect example of a talented local act with good material that never broke out of the Bay Area. Perhaps they're of limited international appeal, but I remember these opening acts as talented, hard-working bands and would love to hear more of them, should you have the tapes.
And if you've also got Tom Petty / June 10, 1978 / Winterland..... :)
