needless to say this mahavishnu stuff is amazing. what an incredible flashback and what incredible music.

i was fortunate to have seen some amazing shows, that i'm now finding on the archive. (while a high school student in poughkeepsie ny.)

--larry coryell/mahavishnu at SUNY new paltz - 1973? - i haven't heard heard the coryell show yet but was quite blown away by both of these powerhouses.

--john mclaughlin/jeff beck at new haven colliseum - 1975 - beck was amazing with bernard purdie and max middleton. mclaughlin was interesting to me, but not as interesting as the mahavishn stuff and i'd seen MO twice before (originally at vassar college, probably 1972)

it's amazing to hear how MO sounded live after all these years, and especially the last few years of rediscovering birds of fire and inner mounting flame.

thanks for blessing us with this amazing work. (still unbelievable after all these years)
