They are selling material they are not legally permitted to sell, including OFFICIALLY RELEASED material, and the artists are NOT getting paid for it.

For an example, there is a download for sale on this very site...King Crimson July 11, 1984 from Montreal. There is also an official KC release called "Absent Lovers" which clearly states on the packaging that it was recorded in "Montreal, July 11, 1984".

I wrote to DGM to see if they were aware of this, and this is the reply:

You're quite right - nobody gets paid for these.

Various artists & record companies in the USA are engaged in a lengthy
battle to have this site remove all the live shows they're currently
streaming & selling.

In the interim, it seems they can do what they want. We've asked for
their removal. I don't expect to hear anything soon.

Gangsters' Vault  might be a more appropriate name. It's a shame as
there's a wealth of material there that could be done
properly - but that would mean hard work & paying the artists & that's
obviously not part of their business plan.
