My guess (and it's a guess) is that they have access to some of the KSAN-FM shows.   The Record Plant/Sausalito shows are almost certainly sourced from the original KSAN pre-fm reels, as we know these shows were all broadcast by KSAN and several of the WV versions have songs on them that were not originally broadcast.  

This brings up an interesting question:  Years ago, BAM Magazine started "the Bammies" as an award show to honor Bay Area Musicians (and promote BAM Magazine).   If I remember correctly, one of the goals of the very first Bammies was to provide funds to house, archive, and preserve the KSAN music library.  Every once in awhile, mention of these archives surfaces...a few years back, I heard that they were now "The Center For The Preservation Of Music Culture" and there were reports that they were digitizing the KSAN tapes.   So....do you have access to these digitized tapes?

Now, one of the most intriguing aspects of Wolfgang's Vault is that they're clearly accessing the original tapes, including tapes that were never actually broadcast.  KSAN often taped early and late shows from the Boarding House or the Old Waldorf, but only broadcast one of the sets.  For someone like me, who used to attend the early show and then drive like a maniac from Downtown to the Richmond District to hit the record button this presents the possibility that they may eventually broadcast a show that I attended.  

So...to be specific, guys....if you've got that Joe Jackson/Old Waldorf EARLY show from 1979....toss me a bone and put it up.  I've got the LATE show broadcast by KSAN....but I was at that early set, and would love to have a copy of it.  :)  DRaftervoi
