    The ad from the Washington Post.  The review from the Dec 7 Washington Post does refer to it as "Largo's Capital Centre."  To add more confusion this Alice Cooper ticket says "Landover" http://www.sickthingsuk.co.uk/tickets/19731219.jpg.

    Also, The Who were not the first band to play there.  The above ad is from a full page ad of several concerts scheduled at the Cap Centre. For one thing the Allman Brothers played there Dec 4.

    Hey, I stand corrected, you are 100% right,  in fact I found my ticket stub for the Allman Bros show, I also taped it that night and have still, and IT was the very first concert there.  The Who on the 6th was obviously the second.  As for the Largo, Landover identity, both were used in ads and throughout the years as the address of the Capitol Center as those two little towns are right together and the Cap Center was on the line.  Either one was really correct.  Love the ad you posted, what other shows did it show coming.
