I too attended many shows at the Cap Center. I believe you are correct that this was the first major show at this venue. I didn't make this Who show, but did see them there in the summer of '76. My understanding is that the opening act for this '73 show was a little known southern band named Lynerd Skynerd. The next big show @ the CC was Dylan & the Band in January of '74, and I still have fond memories of that night. Among other great '74 shows that I recall at Capital Center were ELP, the Dead (07/29/74 Mars Hotel Tour/Owsley Wall of Sound). Clatpon twice (July & October) and George Harrison in December. In fact 1975 was pretty good as well if all my ticket stubs are accurate, as my memory certainly is not. Thanks WV for sharing this wonderful collection.
