    Twisted Sister

Not that I'm a huge fan of Twisted Sister or anything, but I need to make a correction on the show that's just been posted from Rochester in 1984.  I was at the show in question on 7-18-84, but it was not at the Rochester War Memorial, nor was Metallica the opening act.  The venue was the Auditorium Theater, and the openers were Ratt and Mama's Boys.  The only time Metallica played Rochester in those days  was at a small bar called The Riverboat, opening for Raven in 1983.  They didn't return to Rochester for another three years.  Could be the King Biscuit show was recorded elsewhere?  The only shows I know of with Metallica in support were in Europe...

    Re: Twisted Sister

Everybody knows Twisted Sister from "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock".

This recording just made me realize why I loved these guys up to the Stay Hungry album.  Listen to this recording and you'll see how heavy they were.  The recording practically jumps out at you.  After Stay Hungry, they really softened up their sound and lost all their true fans.  Buy "Under the Blade" and "You Can't Stop Rock & Roll" and you will hear them at their best.
