A harbinger of things to come. It's clear that these guys sound great together even at the very beginning. Incredible.

I was lucky enough to have seen them in Feb 1969 in Chicago as a 17 year old, along with Jethro Tull and the headliner - Vanilla Fudge (ha). I missed most of the Fudge's set because I had to get my date home before curfew but given that I had just seen Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin, it really didn't matter. $5 and we sat on the floor probably 10 rows back in the center. It really was a great concert, a very nice time for music.
An for those in some of the other threads that think that Jimi was a better guitarist than Page, I just laugh.
:)
