Some comments, some questions, some thanks.
Great to see the downloads finally arrive with, to say the least, an eclectic opening salvo. Foghat, Humble Pie, and Uriah Heep all played an important part in my misspent youth back in the early seventies, and it was a kick to see them all listed this week. I saw Uriah Heep back in '73 or '74, when they headlined a show featuring ZZ Top and Earth Wind and Fire (talk about eclectic) and, despite the odd assortment of styles represented by the three bands, the show was one of the more entertaining (and, believe me, loudest) I've ever seen. By the way, any EW&F or ZZ Top (both pre and post MTV) you have hanging around would be welcome additions to your site.
Questions: Will more downloads be added on a weekly basis, and will all your shows eventually be available? If requests will get certain concerts available quicker, please know that I will definitely purchase, among others, the Dead New Years Eve show from '88, Patti Smith from CBGBs, Traffic's '73 Winterland show, the '75 Rod Stewart and the Faces, the Stones from Detroit, Petty and the Heartbreakers from London, and, last but not least, the U2 show from Boston (I was there for that one) as soon as they're available. Also, selections from a '73 show by Springsteen held at, I believe, the Berkely Community Theatre used to be played on the old Wolfgang's Radio, and I would love to hear the whole thing. I saw Springsteen for the first time that year, at a free show, where he opened for Cold Blood and It's a Beautiful Day, and it was obvious at the very beginning that he was going to be someone special.
Finally, many many thanks for all that you guys are doing. Some of the music offered on your site is historical, some of it is absolutely incredible, and every single bit of it is an awful lot of fun. Here's hoping that you keep on truckin' for many years to come.
Thanks again, Paul
