    MORE JA CONCERTS

We need some more JA concerts, maybe from their post Surrealistic Pillow album (AKA Volunteers, Baxtor's, etc)

I agree.  I believe the site is missing the years between 1967 and 1975.  I recently purchased the following live JA albums: Sweeping Up the Spotlight (1969), Golden Gate Park (1969) and Last Flight (1972).  There's also some good live bonus material on the Volunteers CD.  Despite other threads suggesting that the band died in 1969, all of their live performances between 69-72 were worth listening to, and each performance was completely different.

    Re: MORE JA CONCERTS

Is there anyone out there like me who understands that the Airplane were essentially creatively DEAD after 1971? Jeez, just listen to the albums they recorded after that time...Jorma and Jack were smart to stick with their Hot Tuna project, for it left them a much larger and longer lasting musical legacy that the old hippie chestnuts they played with the Airplane. Just my opinion. heh

The moment Grace Slick left the band, there was no more JA!:(
