    The Rover:
Putting up some some non-bootleged shows would also prove that as well. And would be much appreciated to boot.

This is a very good point.  I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but I do find it to be very odd that Wolfgang's Vault has yet to broadcast a single song that wasn't from a bootleg.

Led Zeppelin played dozens of concerts at Bill Graham venues.  If the vault is as extensive as the fans have been led to believe, then it shouldn't be too difficult to find one song that we haven't heard before.

All of the streamed music you hear on Wolfgang’s Vault comes from master recordings made by professional engineers who were fully authorized to do so at the time of the performance. These masters are owned 100% by Wolfgang’s vault and were not acquired from bootleggers.

Without question, some of these recordings have shown up as bootlegs, but our tapes are the originals. Bill Graham and the founders of King Biscuit and Silver Eagle were visionarys in many ways, and this comes through both in the bands that performed and the foresight they had to record much of this incredible music.

Thanks for the reply, but your response doesn't address the specific issues in question here.

Namely, why does the recording of Led Zeppelin from 4.27.69 at the Fillmore West venue feature an *audience* recording spliced into the soundboard recording - specifically during the first few seconds of the first track on the recording - Train Kept a Rollin'?

No, this is incorrect.  The beginning of "Train Kept A Rollin'" and the end of "How Many More Times" (from the 4/27/69 show) are very obviously taken from AUDIENCE recordings, and not the SOUNDBOARD.  These splice-jobs were known to have been created by bootleggers, which makes your statement that the tapes "were not acquired from bootleggers" to be misleading at best.

In fact I believe all of "Communication Breakdown" is also from an AUDIENCE recording.

I'd like to know how you explain that.

Re: Led Zep 27 April 1969

I wonder if the issues on this thread have anything to do with why no LZ is available for down load yet. I read a report back in December '06 that LZ was resisting WV's attempts at an agreement.
Has anyone heard news more recent?
Or is my assumption completely off base?
