    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

A wonderful site.  Thank you for letting us listen.

Any chance some of these will be available for purchase soon?  I know ownership of rights and distribution for sale are two different things, but it would make one nice Christmas gift.  Good luck and keep up the great work.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

Amazing website, no less... I'm here on my first day and I find tons of stuff I want to listen to. As much as I enjoyed Sabbath, Costello and Zeppelin, my heart does beat harder for the 80's rock/metal bands. I'm happy to see Accept, Dio, even Motley Crue represented in here. I would love to find more in that genre in the future!

    Thanks,
    Kingkeld

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

Just signed on tonight. Thanks for making this available, and making it FREE! And, I must admit, I was disappointed to read about Bob Weir's potential suit against you. Of all people, you would think he wouldn't mind letting us hear old vault tapes of shows gone by. Then again, it seems the Good Ole' Grateful Dead aren't what they used to be since Jerry's gone.

At any rate, I didn't come here to rant, I came to say, Thank You. Looking forward to hearing what else Bill had up his sleeve.

    George.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

Hi Bill, I just want to say you are a true music connoisseur extraordinaire....and kudos for getting these recordings out of “The Devil”, clear channel communications grubby little paws!! Those b*st*rds have capitalized, cauterized, and commercialized music to the point of me wanting to throw my radio out the window!! But enough on the negative. I feel like a treasure hunter whom has just struck it rich!!  "Gold...Gold I tell you!" I found out about you guys in the Dec.14, 06 Rolling Stone magazine and immediately put the magazine down and have been in heaven every since! I just hope good ol' corporate America doesn't shut you down Bill. Shame on you Bob Weir and your lawyer John Scher. We the people have always remembered those whom have chastise and pilfered our good intentions and good fortunes. Repent now and change your ways or forever be cast in the shadows of remorse. “Can I get an AMEN?”

    Peace, love and rock-n-roll,

    Tman

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

Sweet fancy Moses! This is outstanding.

I spent my teenage years at Winterland, 73-76, and saw just about everybody there. My friends mom worked for BASS, and we got tickets before anyone else. Even got to see the Who there. The first Montrose concert was fabulous. They opened for Joe Walsh and Mott, and nobody knew who they were. Aerosmith was freakin' LOUD. Yes was incredible. Freddie and BB together. Trower, Slade, J. Geils, Brownsville Station was hilarious, Todd,.................

And I do remember the videos they played between sets. B/W, but really cool. I'll bet the things I can't remember were pretty neat too ;)

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

    Awesome!!  Straight up amazing!!

I search far and wide for cd's of stuff like this.  Many times the quality on those cd's is terrible.  These performances are A +, as far as sound quality goes.  Will any of this stuff be available for download?  Pay to play, of course...........

Oh yeah.....Mountain live!  Unbelievable version of Mississippi Queen!

    Christmas came early!!!!  WOO-HOO!

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

I for one would be glad to pay for much of the stuff I have listened to here. Especially if we could get some videos of these performances. There is no sense making a determination to get something for free stand in the way of having access to it at all.

The plain fact is, if you do not support the art you love, you have no right to expect to be able to hear - or see - it. Information may want to be free, but a man's labor - even a labor of love - should be compensated. Thank God for Bill Graham and his determination to make this stuff available. But if a few dollars will make it available faster, or in a better format (higher bitrate or resolution) count me in!

By the way, I was a Stuyvesant graduate, class of '69, just a few blocks from Fillmore East, and went to NYU after that, so I was there to see so much of the stuff on Wolfgang's Vault!! I went to Woodstock, too.
