    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Thanks for carrying on the legacy of Bill for my-my-my generation and the next generation.  I was able to meet Bill in Los Angeles during the Conspiracy of Hope in 1986 and I think he'd be thrilled that his catalogue would be shared in this manner.

I'm interested in seeing the streaming video of 48 hours on CBS profiling him on this site, I think it was Bill at his manic, "the mania," as he put it, best.

I might have to drag my Fillmore documentary out now.

Thanks to the LA Times for pointing  me here.

    Chris

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Listening the Led Zeppelin show from January 10, 1969, and I was there!  Just a kid going to Menlo and up for a concert at the Fillmore.  Was it Bill Graham who introduced them as a "new band from England"?  Somebody did.  And they relly blew our minds that night.  The rest is history.  I'm 56 years old now!  It's an evening I've told my kids about and will someday tell my grandkids I hope.  Thanks for the memories!

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

What a great find. The Concert Vault Rocks. I am 55 and I have found 2 concerts that I was at. This is like being 18 again. I can’t wait to buy some of these concerts. Nothing could enhance my music collection more.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Yes, the new Vault is fantastic!  But what happened to Chicago Transit Authority?  No concerts listed for them anymore.

    Feedback and new show suggestions

The site is now out of sight!   You have just made doing all the mundane things in life a lot more tolerable!  Just listen to a show form the past and get lost in thought.

For my suggestions to future additions: first the "next to the last show" at the Filmore before it closed by the Allman Brothers which even by Bill's words was the best show he ever saw!  Also some Boston, Graham Parsons, Joni Mitchell, Pre Allmans like the Allman Joys and of course more Marshall Tucker!

    Thanks and keep it up!

Re: Feedback and new show suggestions

Mr. Roboto and all the others working at this site - I see you're getting pressed for all kinds of bands ASAP, and I want to see them all myself, but please know I am so loving what you're doing here and appreciate the fact that you didn't wait for the entire universe to be ready before getting some great stuff out there.  We know there's lots more to come, and please don't mistake our impatience for criticism.  This place is awesome, and when I posted comments and a link to your site at a popular blog where people hadn't yet heard about it, I was proclaimed a God just for pointing the way here!

    Again, thanks so much.

Re: Feedback and new show suggestions

Hey, I love this site and all the hard work these guys are doing, too- BUT.......
What happened to the concept of our "free-exchange" of ideas, thoughts and suggestions on this site?!
I posted some questons early this morning(stayed up late writing them) that I thought were very relevant asking if there could be some distinction made between the Bill Graham tapes and the K.B.F.H. and Siver Eagle shows and why they are posting radio broadcast tapes- with DJs talking over parts and static- instead of the ACTUAL BOARD tapes- if they have them.I'm not talking about the King Biscuit Flower Hour radio shows- these are from BGP concerts. My question was posted there when I went to bed and today- not only is IT gone- but the whole page of comments for the day! What is THAT? Why the "censorship"? I asked some valid questions and was looking forward to an answer. Could I get one, please?
                                              Thank you.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

this might be the best site ever put on the internet. my only request would be more punk shows. also, if you've got any more PINK FLOYD, or if you could tell us what movie they were refering to their music being included in, that would be great.

as a sidenote, if you've got THE BOSS doing "Dancing in the Dark" anywhere in there...we could all benifit from its release.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

    I second that emotion.

W.'s Vault has been so generous with the CTA on Vault Radio. I really hope you add them to the concert roster....what a thrill it has been to hear Terry Kath wailing on his Stratocaster!!!

Re: Best site on the net!

Here Here! Free is good, but if you're taking a poll, I will gladly pay for CD quality versions of these concerts. However, I don't envy you having to do battle with the lame-o record labels for this stuff. But go ahead and make the deal with the devil if you have to - whatever it takes to get these (dare I overstate) important historical recordings out to the public in the quality they deserve to be in.

Graham would have been a bulldog and fought for the rights to release these, and there's nothing wrong with all of you guys (artists especially) making a buck off of these gems!

We love your feedback and we didnt delete your post, in fact I think your post is right here: http://forums.wolfgangsvault.com/forums/permalink/5107/5107/ShowThread.aspx#5107
As more posts get added to this thread the thread gets paginated. Your post is still on the first page in Concert Vault Forums > Feedback > Ladies and Gentlemen.

Regarding your question about listing which concerts are from which collection (King Biscuit, Silver Eagle, Bill Graham, etc.) we are actualy talking about that very thing now, so stay tuned!

Thanks again for your feedback - we love to hear it!
