    Blue Cheer/Vanilla Fudge Filmore West September 21, 23 - 1967

Talk about a complete eargasm. These two concerts would fill most ears with complete audio bliss. Even better Blue Cheer and Pink Floyd at the Shrine on July 26th 1968... I do not remember if Barret was still in Floyd or not, but anyway. United States of America at the Filmore West 5/2-4/68. They were allegedly a stronger more "in your face" band live. They have some awesome tunes. Check this out - SRC live at the Filmore West on 10/5-7/1969. I bet that was a sonic roar. I was told that Wolfgang's vault has access to these recordings (as well as the Ultimate Spinach at the Filmore West on 1/18-20, 25-27/1968) and has the capability to allow people to hear them. I am new to this sight, did a little research, and I hope that maybe some of this stuff will see the light of day. Does anyone know if The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band or Red Crayola ever played at the Filmores? What about Savage Resurrection? Did Alexander Skip Spence ever do any Filmore concerts to promote his solo lp? Thanks for your time.

    Peace,

    Dust

Re: To all you Ultimate Spinach Fans

I just read an interview with Bruce Ian Douglas and he says that on their lp release (whichever of the first 2 lps) they played at the Filmore West. I will assume that this is the January concerts. Bill Gahram claimed that they were the worst band ever to play there. Bruce Ian Douglas agreed, yet later there was one heck of a show in Connecticut where they opened for Jefferson Airplane... and put them in diapers. It looks like Bill Graham recorded shows from all over the country. Is there any slight chance that this Ultimate Spinach/Jefferson Airplane show was recorded? Thanks for your time.
