    Help - Jimi Hendrix Poster

My family is considering selling an heirloom we've had since late 1971. It's a vintage original Jimi Hendrix poster, the famous "Medusa" image featuring wires attached to hendrix's hair. The poster was designed by Gunther Keiser and it is for Hendrix's January 15, 1969 concert in Stuttgart, Germany. The size is large, 33 inches by 46 inches. We have tried to find an original like ours for weeks now online, but the only ones we could find were newer reprints and lithographs. Therefore, we have absolutely no idea on the value of this poster. Obviously, we do not want to sell it withouth knowing its value, as we are quite aware that old rock posters can fetch several thousands of dollars. Thus, I am asking if anyone here can provide more insight into the poster's value, or how we can go about finding it's value.

    Thanks,

Don't know if you are aware, but this site hosts auctions of the art and poster.  most originals from that time are going only for auction pricing.  You may want to have it authenticated by a reputable firm, so you can show the eventual buyer it is authentic.  Start here ==> http://www.wolfgangsvault.com/contact-us.aspx.

Full disclosure, I have no affiliation with this website of anyone at this site.
