    London 1976

Thanks for posting this show. Though it sounds like Bruford on drums along with Phil, not Chester Thompson.

You beat me to it.  I am almost certain, based on the date, that this is Bill Bruford and not Chester Thompson.  I don't think Chester joined them until 1977 and this would seem to be during the six months that Bill spent with the band in England in 1976.  And I agree that it does sound much more like Bruford than Chester.

It's interesting to me for having a live version of the instrumental section at the end of "Dance on a Volcano."

Besides the ending to "Dance..." the other hint would be the "Lamb stew" medley that they did when Bruford toured with them.

There's also no mistaking the difference in the drumming between Bill and Chester with these guys.

It's nice to hear more and more stuff surfacing from this tour.  Maybe someday the powers that be will release all those soundboard tapes from over the years rumored to be boxed away in Phil's closet (or on The Farm) ;-)

You can get this show (and others) online for free if you join the BURP Genesis yahoo group.

There are some excellent photos from this show located at www.concertphotos.uk.com. Along with a multitude of others, the Genesis and P.G. photos are phenomenal.
