    Re: jimi

I love hearing stories about Jimi. He passed away a little a less than a year before I was born. I consider it a great loss that I never got to see him. All I have is the music. What a legacy, but to have seen the man.............

I had the privilege of seeing Hendrix at the Boston Garden in November 1968...It was an absolute honor to see this man perform....

Hendrix has no peers as far as I'm concerned

    Re: jimi

Sorry to have to say this oldhippy, but i must be even older than you.

I  saw Jimmy Vaughn (Stevie Ray's older brother) when he was playing in a local "combo" at age 17.  Stevie Ray was still in junior high.

I saw Leonard Skynard way before the plane crash.

I have a tie from Carnaby Street given to me by Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits.

I met Robert Moog (Moog synthesizer fame) in 1968.

I happened to catch Hendrix a few months before his passing in Miami, Fla.  Wish I could say that I saw stars and stuff, but to tell the truth, he was struggling through the entire set.  I knda felt it was the beginnig of the end upon leaving the concert that night...Sorry for the bring-down.

Don't feel bad, there's no bring-down in the truth.

It was sad to loose all those that we lost during that time, but rock grew from it as I think we all did.
