    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

I love this site. I've listened to scores of great concerts already and what I've read of your plans makes me giddy. I can only imagine some of the concert footages. Some bands are greats I never saw, and others are the old school rockers I saw in high school and in college. Boy, those shows take me there. Thanks again. Rock on.

Re: Is the Glass Half-Full or Empty

Too bad that people can't accept this as a  "grand gift" rather than be critical because they already have access to some of the music. Give me strength! I loved listening to KSAN during this time,  please find more and insure that the grand voices of the DJ's remain as they were a part of the sound and effect, as a person who was blessed to see many of these shows live, I feel blessed a 2nd time.

KSAN's live shows were closest thing to almost being there, keep up the great work

    Thanks, my glass  is  half-full.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

I recently found this site, purely by accident: it's excellent!

Thanks for preserving these great performances.

Like ace face, I'm the wrong side of the Atlantic (and too young to have been there at the time), so it's great to be able to hear my favourite* bands playing live.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

1st of all, much thanks to Wolfgangs Vault for providing this wealth of wonderful music!

    Wow,you were at that legendary show!I visited NYC for the 1st time last Easter,using the Johnny/Edgar/Derringer concert in Red Bank,NJ,for the reason...Amazing show!I made a vow to see those 3 together before it's to late.Derringer's chops are better than ever;Edgar,ever the consummate pro,was typically,his brilliant self and Johnny was in much better shape ,than his troubled,post-injury,period...I say this in all honesty,having seen him 3 times since,(2008 Chicago Blues Fest,being the most recent) as he's getting stronger and better,with each passing show...I went by the site of the famous,Fillmore East...not even a commemorative plaque?The Allmans were locally playing a week + gig at the time of my visit as I flying out on Easter Sunday.Missed the flight due to subway/track repair/delays...Johnny ended up sitting in with The Allmans for the 1st time since that historic show you were at!It's on Youtube,(3 songs);renowned critic/guitarist/instuctor,Dave Rubin gave a glowing review as follows;

If only I had known he was sitting in!Always nice to talk with a fellow Johnny Winter fan.He was my 1st guitar hero, after first hearing him in '75.I've been a huge fan ever since and am indebted to him as my passport to quality/serious music;Muddy Waters and the blues, etc.!

    Still Alive & Well!

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

    Hello

I'm a major Bill Graham admirer and really appreciate your site!

Is this the correct forum to make requests?  If so:

PLEASE post more by Procol Harum, especially 1968-69 at Fillmore East or West - and Especially Easter Weekend, Apri '69, Fillmore West.  They played a 4 day weekend and were at the absolute Top of their form at that time,  with their original lineup including Hammond organist Matthew Fisher.

Some Video from that Procol Harum lineup would be even More awesome!

If this isn't the "request line" Forum,  can you please tell me where that is?

Thanks again for your wonderful pages!

    Joan M.
