How 'bout a Steppenwolf performer forum, Eh?

As webmaster for Goldy McJohn and creator of many of the current band's tour shirt art and a long time fan since their appearance on the music scene, I think it would be nice to have them up here for discussion. Whadya say, eh? Love the show in the vault...reminds me why I love 'em so much...

Steppenwolf was a stud of a band. goldymcjohn.com is a great site and Goldy does a great job with his personal interface with fans.

I never thought much of Steppenwolf back then; figured they were kind of a crossover 'commercial' band because of Born To Be Wild but the 1968 concert they just put up shows they really were a good live band, especially for 1968. Nice performance.

Very underrated band, imo. Anyone coming to my home for hubbub can expect Steppenwolf to be in the line up.

I like a good hard rocker and John Kay falls in the same category with Seeger & Springsteen when it comes to hard drivin' rock n' roll. Still puts on a good show too. I agree that the group has always been one of the under rated bands of our generation.....probably because no promoter got his hooks into them (sad but true)

Still have the original vinyl albums, 1 through 7 at home.  Now all I need to do is get a new turn table so I can play them with all of their glorious hisses and pops. :-)
