    Alan Wilson era

Would love to hear some shows (if they exist) with Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson.  What a talent!

I sure would love to hear some original CannedHeat with the Blind Owl!  They played a few times here in South Florida in the late 60's including a jam with B.B. King at the Miami Rock Festival in December of 69. I loved that band!

    Spot on Peggy

Al Wilson is an underated genius - let's hope there are some gems in the vaults somewhere we have yet to have the pleasure to listen to.

Meanwhile there are some great videos on YouTube featuring the classic lineup of Canned Heat with Blind Owl, if you are not already aware.

There's a fan-made DVD bootleg of almost all available CH performances with Alan, great stuff:

    Monterey 67
    Beat Club 68
    Playboy 69
    Beat Club 69
    Woodstock 69
    Beat Club 70
    Playboy 70
    Montreux 70
    Royal Albert Hall 70
miming in "The Naked Zoo" film (1971), my guess is spring 1970
that Holland festival 70, last footage of Alan, uploaded by me on youtube.

    Find it, folks.

My first post here btw, hello to everyone.

how would i get a hold of those bootlegs or any others?  My only concern is a computer vrius.  Is there any "safe" way to get bootlegs?

Definate agreement with you. Canned Heat and Alan Wilson have been underestimated in my opinion for far to long.
